Though the city is spoilt with collections from some of the fashion greats, Burberry, Simone Rocha, and Erdem to name a few, the city is becoming increasingly known for being the place of the rising star. The three designers I have included here are not just creating beautiful clothes, but a brand of artistry and intrigue that could stand the test of time.

Grete Henriette

With an esteemed list of celebrities having adorned Henriette’s designs including SZA, Tems, Tinashe, Tyla and Lil Nas X, the designer is already becoming a London staple. The designer’s most recent AW25 collection titled Elysiam was presented in a church, showcasing pieces seamlessly combining jewellery and clothing making an ethereal world of wonder. Celestial sounds, ethereal choreography and christian iconography create feelings of innocence, juxtaposed with the sensualness of the barely there dresses and underwear. A collection that encapsulates the act of world-building and a designer that leaves us wanting more.

Keburia

The womenswear and accessories label founded in 2015 and designed and made in Tbilsi, Georgia presented its first show in London for AW25. Surrealist designs that transcend the functionality of clothing dominated the collection, bringing a welcome playful sense of escapism to the city. Oversized hats, sleeves and skirts were paired with military inspired tailoring, creating a wonderland through clothing. Keburia’s surrealist creativity will no doubt transcend through future collections.

Maximillian Raynor

The recent Central Saint Martins Graduate is increasingly becoming an industry favourite with the brands non-confirming and romantic pieces. Raynor’s AW25 collection plays very cleverly upon the modern and historical. With the high collars resembling those worn by men in the Victorian era, and sheer dresses that play innovatively with texture and shape, the result feels super romantic and classic, but with a unique twist. Though the brand has already achieved well-deserved notoriety amongst celebs, with Lady Gaga and Chappell Roan wearing their pieces (to name a few), there is no doubt that the innovative nature of Maximillian Raynor will lead it to becoming a namesake brand.
