When the Covid pandemic first happened, I remember feeling quite unsettled. My husband Arthur and I are both freelancers and rely on projects cropping up here and there to earn our income. We have both worked in offices all over London throughout our careers and only occasionally worked from home. When Lockdown came into full swing, our freelance jobs began to slow down and we were left to revaluate our situation…
My background is in PR and Influencer Marketing, and Arthur’s is in Graphic Design and Art Direction and we frequently found ourselves crossing over in our work. This sparked several conversations around collaborating to launch a joint venture.
Lockdown really gave us the time and energy to focus on building that business. We always had a team of creatives that we had met along the way in our careers, which we knew we could call on when the time was right. So, on the third week of Lockdown we gathered the team and got to work with the website and branding to launch Dreamville Creative, our full-service agency that offers Branding, Strategy, PR & Influencer Marketing, Digital & Website design, Graphic Design, Marketing, Social Media and Copywriting.
Before we knew it, we had done about 6 months’ work in 6 weeks!
Planning and launching during Lockdown seemed to work out as a brilliant opportunity for us: people had more time to listen, support and point us in the right direction for clients. With that said, clients also had the time to want to know more and take the time to really get to know us. No one was buried in emails, delayed on tubes, exhausted from travelling, and everyone we spoke to was very friendly.

So now here we are a few months into our launch — we are Dreamville Creative — the young, creative studio with a friendly, (sometimes magical) team of specialists. We have worked with some of the most prestigious agencies in the industry and have come together to make brands seen and heard.
