MAXXIJ SS21 Collection

Words by Thomas Brooks — Junior Fashion Editor

Some of the best collections to hit London Fashion Week are well thought through and out of the box. Unfortunately I cannot attend runways this year due to the pandemic, so my gasp of surprise will be covered with a mask — to protect myself of course. However, conceptual fashion house MAXXIJ from South Korea has my eyes wide open for their new SS21 collection.

MAXXIJ’s core values of liberation and recreation of identity is present in each collection, and the next season will see a rebirth. The concept is titled ‘Escapist’ — his ideas and visions for a fashion forward industry is befitting of the world we live in today. With strong contrasts in fabrics and colours, the designer liberates and experiments — letting the wearer express with movement and shape.
