Milan has always struck the world with ele­gant women. For SS21, René Caovil­la doesn’t just show off its Ital­ian virtues, the design­er has decid­ed to hon­our ele­gance of the woman. In a new cin­e­mat­ic film, adorned with art and cul­ture, René Caovil­la embod­ies the beau­ties of the Serenis­si­ma dis­trict. A gift from the Mai­son to us, we can enjoy a short film which cel­e­brates the designer’s love for beau­ty, tra­di­tion and values.

In the new Aika col­lec­tion, sig­na­ture styles such as the Cleo san­dal has been rein­ter­pret­ed with hand­made embroi­dery inspired by fine jew­ellery, lav­ished in pearl and crys­tal neck­laces. The new designs accen­tu­ate the ele­gant and extreme­ly fem­i­nine char­ac­ter of René Caovilla’s icon­ic sil­hou­ettes. Cin­derel­la, decol­leté made of pre­cious lam­i­nat­ed lace enriched with geo­met­ric crys­tals, cel­e­brates the roman­tic side of the woman who wears them. Mandy, with a dynam­ic and sin­u­ous, yet min­i­mal and clean design, it per­fect­ly reflects the desire to be sim­ple but unique.

Fol­low­ing from the collection’s inspi­ra­tions from pearl and crys­tal neck­laces, the brand con­tin­ues its love for nature as Cecile, pro­posed for dai­ly wear, are renewed with pearls. Bet­ter still, pearls used for this col­lec­tion are nat­ur­al riv­er pearls with organ­ic and irreg­u­lar shapes, giv­ing the san­dal a cool­er look yet remain­ing a clas­sic for everyone’s wardrobe.
