The setting for the Experience Azerbaijan press launch was The Sanderson hotel. Upon arrival guests treated to themed cocktails such as the gin-infused Baku Wonder and canapés of lamb, chicken, goat’s cheese and beetroot.
The high ceilinged space was transformed with VR, a photo booth and plinths displaying the country’s wine, including a special Pomegranate dessert variant which intrigued guests.
After a guided tour by Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, who has lived in Baku for seven years, guests were invited to an intimate five-course dinner finished with what else but a glass of pomegranate wine!
The evening was rounded off with a thank you toast from Florian and guests were gifted beautiful hand painted silk scarves from the country.
